Learning New Languages Program

Learning a new language can open many doors and opportunities. Not only will you learn to communicate in a new language, but you will also learn the values and immerse yourself in the culture of those who speak the language. Another added benefit, many employers are seeking bilingual workers.  The House of Wisdom has two programs for learning the basics of two influential languages. We teach Arabic and Spanish. Arabic is the oldest language in the world and is spoken by over 300 million people, making it the fifth most-spoken language globally. Arabic has influenced many languages, including English. Many words such as ‘sugar,’ ‘algebra,’ ‘alcohol,’ ‘lemon,’ and more are derived from Arabic. Since there is a high interest in the community and we enjoy celebrating our diversity, we offer basic learning Arabic classes weekly, making it very attainable for children and adults.
